DIY Dried Orange Slices For A Festive Tablescape
We created this tablescape for the holiday edition of Annapolis Home Magazine a few years ago and it is still one of our most beloved images for our team and readers! So this week we thought we would share a quick and easy DIY for how you can create these dried orange slices at home to help recreate this fresh and festive tablescape. Keep reading to find out how. It is way easier than you would think!
Here Is What You Will Need:
Large Naval Oranges
Parchment Paper
Cookie Sheet
Cooling Rack
Set your oven on bake to 250 degrees.
Thinly slice your orange. You do not want the slices to be too thin or they will brown around the edges!
Pat your orange slices with a towel to remove excess moisture and juiciness.
Line your cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Place your orange slices on the parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake for two hours.
Check on the slices every 20 minutes or so and rotate the cookie sheet so all of the slices cook evenly.
Once the slices are dried, remove from cookie sheet and transfer to a cooling rack.
Allow the slices to cool and harden over night and then they're ready to go on your beautiful holiday table!!
We hope you all have a very happy and healthy holiday with family and loved ones! Stay safe out there!
